MERRY focus on creating the facilities for arts, crafts, music and literature in Pemba, Northern Mozambique, and cultural opportunities and links for children in Deptford.
Set up by Jani Llewellyn – a nursery teacher in Deptford – who started MERRY in support of Mozambique by collecting buttons and other educational and recreational resources for the young (MERRY!).
The MERRY Trust was formed as a charity after Jani died, inspired by her creative vision and example.
